We offer small-scale funding for community groups to participate in our projects. Current funding available:
The Unremembered: World War One’s Army of Workers
The Unremembered project continues in 2018, and this time we are working with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to commemorate the Commonwealth story.
Your group can create a wreath to commemorate the Labour Corps, and we will be choosing a selection of wreaths from community groups that take part. The wreaths chosen will represent Commonwealth member countries, and will be laid for remembrance in November 2018.
We can offer up to £200 of funding for community groups across the UK who can post their wreath to Big Ideas by latest Tuesday 10 April. Funding must be applied for in advance of the competition deadline. Please email the team to let us know you’re sending a wreath, so we know to expect it.
We must receive all funding applications no later than Sunday 1 April.

Trailblazers: World War One’s Inspirational Women
Trailblazers is a schools and citizenship-focused project, encouraging students to use their knowledge of First World War women to plan activities within their own local community, including presenting their research in assemblies within their school or (secondary schools only) to feeder primary schools. Schools will be invited to an empowering development workshop on World War One women and inspirational women of today to create a legacy resource later in the year.
Schools can celebrate Women’s History Month by exploring Trailblazers of World War One and today.
We can offer up to £200 of funding for community groups based in England.
